Live streaming versus wedding video
A bit the same - but still very different
When we live stream we also record inside our cameras and give you that copy to keep.
So you can call a live stream a ‘wedding video’ because it is a video of the wedding. But it’s not exactly the type of wedding video most people would think of when they think about ‘wedding videos’.
We are not filming in ‘cinematic’ style
Many wedding videos are really lovely, cinematic love-story movies - we tip our hat to these guys as many do a truly adorable job.
Your special story unfolds over the course of the day, often from makeup in the morning to the final goodbyes at night. The actual wedding ceremony, and the reception speeches, is only a part of that bigger story that is being told.
We are shooting in ‘event’ style
For us, the wedding ceremony and reception speeches are the whole story. They are events to be covered in real time with crystal-clear images and sound.
You cover events in a different way to making a cinematic movie - there are different requirements and practices, and you need different camera equipment.
Our cameras are built for live TV production
The outsides are covered in buttons and dials that let us instantly make adjustments without digging through menus, because conditions are constantly changing.
The lenses go from extreme wide-shots to tight close-ups on smooth, motorised zoom - without needing lens changes.
Controls for the radio microphones are built into the sides of the cameras.
They have inbuilt filters to help us get nice shots in bright light.
They are perfect for the job they do.
But the cinematic guys would hate working with them - because to get the result they want they need cameras with very different qualities.
You may still want a wedding videographer making a cinematic movie of your day
That way you get a great stream and a great cinematic wedding-video.
Or, if you really only want the ceremony and speeches as they happened you will get that from us in beautiful High-Definition.
It’s your choice.
